I use Internal Family Systems or "parts work" and somatic experiential approaches to help you develop curiosity towards your problems, reduce inner criticism, foster awareness of your body/mind/spirit, and build a warm relationship with yourself. I will take the time to get to know you, your specific challenges, and hopes.
Internal Family Systems, or IFS, is a form of therapy that helps you heal by embracing your different inner parts, including parts that overwork, criticize, stress, shut down, binge, or feel hurt or lost. These parts often take extreme roles within us and try to protect us to feel safe. IFS helps you connect with your core Self, a nonjudgmental inner healer for your parts, fostering inner harmony and healing. IFS therapy can include guided meditations, visualizations, conscious dialoguing with inner parts, and sacred healing rituals.
Somatic therapy can include guided meditation, breath work, body awareness exercises, and learning how to work with emotions in the body through movement. I guide you through an embodiment practice so that you can access the inner landscape of your experience including body sensations, emotions, thoughts, and energies. In movement-focused sessions, I hold space for you to move with your parts and their stories to strengthen connection, release tensions, develop self compassion, and foster creativity.
I provide meditation instruction for beginner and experienced mindfulness practitioners with a focus on deep embodiment, present-moment awareness, radical self-acceptance, and imagination. My aim is to bring the inner landscape of your experience into full technicolor with images, textures, and soulfulness.
I provide consultation for therapists, counselors, social workers, coaches, and other helping professionals looking to incorporate body-oriented practice into their work.
